News from the Alumni Executive Committee

Left to right: Meri Kimura '05, Alumni Coordinator,
Alumni Association Executive Committee Members: Dan Sander '97, Kirsten Morrison '91, Sara Pedlow '03, (Chair),  Malcolm Ert '05, Shannon O'Neill '99, and Nikos Kallas '97. (Missing: Cyrus Navabi '07)

Two long-standing members of the Alumni Executive Committee have recently retired, after many years of service to the Alumni Association.

Shannon O'Neill '99 has been a member of the Alumni Executive Committee since 2007, making her the longest-standing member of the Committee in the Alumni Association's history. Shannon chaired the Alumni Association from 2010 - 2013, during which time she was also the Committee's representative on the Board of Governors, and has been an outstanding representative of Collingwood alumni throughout her years on the Executive Committee. Shannon's dedication to the Alumni Association and Collingwood School was recognized in 2013 when she was awarded the inaugural Alumni Association award for outstanding volunteer service.

Kirsten Morrison '91 joined the Executive Committee in 2009 and is retiring after five years of service to the Alumni Association, including assisting with organizing numerous reunions and alumni events. Although Kirsten is leaving the Alumni Association Executive Committee, she remains actively involved as a volunteer at Collingwood School as a parents of two daughters at Wentworth. In addition to her work with the Alumni Executive Committee, Kirsten has been involved with Collingwood as a Class Representative and was a member of the Building Excellence Capital Campaign Committee.

Our sincere thanks to Shannon and Kirsten for their many years of service and dedication to the Alumni Association. Their experience, enthusiasm and commitment to the Alumni Association have greatly benefited the Alumni Association and the School, and they will be greatly missed at the Executive Committee meetings.
