Architect's Rendering of the Community Donor Wall

Great news - we have now surpassed our $10 million capital campaign goal to build the New Morven campus!

Thank you so much to all alumni families who have supported the campaign to date. Your commitment to Building Excellence: The Campaign for Collingwood has been instrumental to its success.

There is still time to participate in the campaign, and to be recognized on the Community Donor Wall. All donations are welcome and all gifts of $500 or more made by June 30, 2014 will be included on the Community Donor Wall, including gifts that are pledged over a three year period.

We welcome you to be a part of this lasting legacy. You can donate online here.

Bringing Down the House - Our Biggest Alumni Event Ever!

It was wonderful to see over 200 alumni, alumni parents, alumni faculty and alumni staff as well as a number of our current faculty and staff at Bringing Down the House on June 5th.

Guests enjoyed a delicious catered dinner, wines from Painted Rock Estate Winery and beer from the Whistler Brewing Company, and took home a commemorative Bringing Down the House tee shirt from t-shirtprinting.ca. The grand door prize was a weekend at the Westin Whistler Resort & Spa.

Nostalgia was in the air as guests gathered in the photo booth and wrote graffiti messages throughout the old Glenmore wing. It was a memorable evening for everyone!

Thank you to our organizing committee for all their work - Dierdre Ert & Tina Rowntree, Co-Chairs, Bev O'Neill, Linda Wolverton, Jeannie Senft, Darlene Howard, Dan Sander '97 and Pat Ward '90.

Our special thanks to our generous sponsors who contributed to much to the success of the event:

Our First 25 Year Reunion - Grad 1989!

Over 25 Grad '89 and their guests attended our first 25 Year Reunion on May 31st at The Beach House at Dundarave Pier, and caught up with their former teachers Julia Clarke and Jen Hobson. It was great to see so many members of our first graduating class at the event and we're looking forward to planning our first 30 year reunion with them!

Roger's Retirement Roast

Roger's Retirement Roast was held at the Hollyburn Country Club on June 14, attracting over 150 rugby alumni and faculty. Rugby stories from the past 29 years were recounted as Roger Hatch was honoured for his outstanding commitment to Collingwood School and to its rugby program.

Roger, a long serving and trusted teacher, coach, mentor and friend to alumni, students parents, faculty and staff, retires this month after 29 years of service to Collingwood. In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the Collingwood community, the Roger Hatch Fund has been established in his honour. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships and bursaries to deserving students who demonstrate great promise in athletic endeavours.
