It's quite a change to see Roger Hatch holding something other than a rugby ball, but as you can see, he's already got the right moves in his new role as a first-time grandpa! Beautiful granddaughter Khaleesi Hatch was born on October 30, 2013, bringing great joy to her proud parents Danny and Samantha and her delighted grandparents, Roger and Madeleine Hatch.
Congratulations to everyone in the family and a note to little Khaleesi . . . get ready to watch a LOT of rugby!

Katarina Angus '13 is off to a great start playing field hockey at Brown University. We caught a recent article in Brown University's sports news, reporting that Katarina scored the game-winning overtime goal, giving Brown its first win over a nationally ranked opponent since 2005. Congratulations, Katarina!
Katarina has joined a growing list of Collingwood grads who have gone on to play sports for their colleges and universities, including a number of Ivy League institutions.

An exceptional French Horn musician, Ray Han '14 spent a number of years at Collingwood before enrolling this year at Michigan's Interlochen Arts Academy, often described as the world's leading pre-professional arts school.
Currently in Grade 12, Ray recently let us know that he has been chosen as one of the 180 winners out of approximately 11,000 applicants to participate in America's National YoungArts Foundation's premier competition, considered to be the USA's highest-level competition for high school musicians. In January, Ray will be appearing with the other winners in performances that will be covered by national media and streamed live internationally.
Congratulations, Ray, and all the best in the competition!
