News from Collingwood
It has been a milestone year for Collingwood in moving forward with the construction of our new Senior School campus. The largest building project in our history has been supported by the School's most ambitious capital campaign.
In addition to the new Morven building construction, renovations to the Parents' Wing will begin this summer, so that by September the renovations will be complete, featuring state-of-the-art facilities for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Robotics.
We wish to thank our alumni families who have already participated in our Building Excellence campaign. We sincerely appreciate the interest and enthusiasm that so many of you have shown for this project and are pleased to share with you this message from alumni parent Brian O'Sullivan, who sits on the Campaign Executive Committee.
Collingwood has given my sons Brendan (Class of 2011) and Berkley (Class of 2013) extraordinary opportunities to grow and thrive. It has given them the opportunity to make lifelong friends and to become part of a community in which they will always be welcome. I believe giving back is important so when the school asked me to support the campaign both with my time and with a gift, I was happy to do so.
Both my sons will be Collingwood alumni before the new building is complete but what is most important to me is that the school is able to offer future students the same opportunities it gave my children. I want to see Collingwood grow and improve and want to be a part of the legacy we leave for future generations of students, just as my family benefitted from the legacy past Collingwood families left to us.
In coming together to support this project we are not only building a world-class school but setting an example for our children. We are building a stronger community and the school's reputation will continue to grow. This is something which will benefit both present and past Collingwood students.
