WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!
Summer Break is over and with that an exciting new school year begins once again! On behalf of the 2012/2013 Parents' Council Executive and as your new Chair, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning families.
By now you will have received the August mailing from the School, which includes our Parents' Council Volunteer Handbook. This has all the pertinent information you will need this year, including the list of all Parents' Council events, services and activities and who to contact to get involved. Please keep it handy for easy reference.
I wish you and your families a fantastic school year and look forward to seeing you at our wonderful fundraising and "fun"raising events throughout the year. Kick-off the school year with a party! Parents, faculty, staff and alumni are all invited to join in this fun and popular event. Choose to golf and stay for the BBQ and Party, or just come for the BBQ and Party and dance the night away to a live band!

3:00pm Tee off at Glenagles - Shotgun start, 5 person teams, fun scramble format
6:30pm The Party starts! Cash bar
7:30pm BBQ dinner, followed by dancing and fun surprises until midnight
Casual attire - golf attire is not required!

RECYCLING AT COLLINGWOOD
September Collection:
Tuesday, September 18th & Wednesday, September 19th
Please bring in your "returnable" bottles and cans to the Wentworth Campus during drop off this month (Tuesday or Wednesday, September 18th or 19th). Grade 5 students, parents & other volunteers will be standing curbside to help collect and sort recycled items.
Why not volunteer with your child and help collect and sort? It's the green thing to do! To volunteer, please contact Laura Khorchidian at lolo@printlux.com.

UNI-SHOP
Mark your calendar for our next Sale Date: Thursday, September 20th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Wentworth Campus.
The Uni-Shop provides a great opportunity for families to stock up their kids' closets for the term with a few "gently-used" uniform items that they may wear out quickly.
If you are trying to find room in your closets, consider donating the gently-used items your children have out-grown to the Uni-Shop. Our next collection date will be Tuesday, September 18th. Volunteers will be at the curbside at both Wentworth and Morven campuses to help collect your donations.
