Molts and Pinfeathers: A New Year for You and Your Bird
The start of a new year can be a time to make promises to yourself for positive changes in your life, and this includes how you care for your bird. Jenny Drummey offers some ideas for enrichment, nutrition and behavior in her new blog post.

Flash, 14 year old Senegal
Thanks to my holiday gift donors, I have had some great wood blocks to chow down on, for hours on end. I've also discovered that leafy greens are the best, and I will shred and munch on leaf after leaf.   They're keeping me very busy at The Landing!
Neon, 15 year old Eclectus
I am such an easy going guy, and don't mind the hustle and bustle of a busy household. I've recently discovered how lovely it is spending some time in an aviary at The Landing, and enjoying fresh air and sunshine. I also appreciate the opportunity to fly if possible, either safely indoors or in an aviary.
Each level has its own benefits, and each level includes a 2016 calendar and tax deductible donation.  Join anytime, benefits good for one year thereafter.

In addition to discussions and lectures, there are extended hands-on training sessions, cooking sessions, and the opportunity to discuss issues of specific importance to you.  Limited to 4 - 6 participants. For more information go to
Please Consider Adoption!
Phoenix Landing is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization. It was established to promote and protect the welfare of parrots through adoption, education and conservation. Almost every bird, from the smallest to the largest, from the most loved to the most neglected, will need a new home someday. Probably a succession of homes. People's lives change, often unexpectedly. One day your bird may need a good new home too.
