Tata Chemicals Partners with Brigham Young University's Capstone Program

In an effort to make the manufacturing of soda ash more sustainable, Tata Chemicals (Soda Ash) Partners in Green River, WY and BYU's Capstone program investigated ways to clean up pond water for reintroduction to the process and to reduce the volume of water in the ponds.

BYU's Team researched several ways to do this and presented a matrix of possible solutions rated for economic and technical feasibility.  This matrix also included installation, operation, and maintenance costs.  This information will allow Tata Chemicals to make a decision on what process would work best to achieve this objective.
