Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry Attend New Jersey Grand Opening of Jaguar Land Rover Center

On  October 10, Prestige celebrated the grand opening of its new Jaguar Land Rover Center in Bergen County, N.J.

Tata Starbucks Flagship Store Opens Doors to Mumbai Customers

On October 19, Tata Starbucks, the 50/50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages opened its first store in India. This flagship store is located at the historic Elphinstone Building at Horniman Circle, Mumbai and marks the beginning of the iconic brand's India journey. Tata Starbucks has since launched two more stores in Mumbai at the Oberoi Mall and the Taj Mahal Palace annexe.

Students in Ontario and Washington, DC Receive a Gift of Books from Tata Companies

On October 26, the Tata Group of companies announced a donation of 10,000 new books to school children in Southern Ontario. The gift is Tata's first donation in Canada and marks an expansion in Tata's partnership with award-winning nonprofit organization, First Book. To commemorate this partnership milestone, more than 30 employees from six Tata companies including Tata SonsTata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tata TechnologiesTata Global BeveragesTata Communications and Jaguar Land Rover, came together at Hewson Public School in Brampton, Ontario. Employee volunteers and first-graders shared the new books by reading in lively groups and each student received two new books to start their personal library.

 

"Today's event marks our small contribution in providing children with as many opportunities to read age-appropriate books at home. The Tata Group has a longtime commitment to supporting the educational advancements of young people in the Canadian communities in which we operate," said Kapil Sharma, Senior General Manager North America. "We are proud of the growth and success of our partnership with First Book, and thrilled that our continued collaboration has brought us the opportunity to gift 10,000 books to students in Southern Ontario." In a similar program earlier in October, Tata Sons, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Communications and Jaguar Land Rover joined with First Book to bring 15,000 books to school children throughout Washington, D.C. Read more.

  

Tata established its partnership with First Book in December 2007 and has since distributed more than 175,000 books valued at over $1.3 million to children in need across North America.

Eight O'Clock Coffee "Superfans" at the company's roasting facility

Eight O'Clock Coffee honored four of its top social media "Superfans" from Facebook and Twitter by surprising them with a trip to the company's roasting facility in Landover, Maryland. True brand ambassadors, the Superfans traveled from Oklahoma, Upstate New York, Western Maryland and Missouri to attend the fun-filled three-day event. They were given a behind-the-scenes look, including a "Coffee 101" tutorial, an in-depth cupping session, a full tour, and lessons on coffee production. During their stay in Washington, D.C., the Superfans shared thoughts about Eight O'Clock Coffee's rich past, exciting present and potential future ideas with the Brand Team.
