A MESSAGE FROM THE RABBI
TO OUR FRIEND IN THE TURKISH COMMUNITY
The following was sent to the Peace Island Institute, Turkish Cultural Center of CT and their leaders.
Please know that our community reaches out to our friends in the Turkish community in hope and with prayers. We have spent many hours together in our mutual search for peace and understanding. We have shared the IFTAR with our Turkish friends during Ramadan. Several years ago I had the privilege of visiting Turkey with an interfaith
group from the Yale community. It was then an example of interfaith understanding and love. Today, we reach out in friendship once again and pray that your friends and families are safe and that peace will soon descend upon the land.
