WOW...! What a week.

Apple released the latest version of Final Cut Pro X last Thursday afternoon - at which time the floodgates opened.

My blog on the New Features in Final Cut had over 10,000 views in the first 24 hours. And for those who tried to read it, but couldn't, it wasn't your fault. Our server was not expecting this level of traffic and stopped working. I encourage you to read the article - because, in addition to what I wrote, many of the comments are worth reading, too.

Since Final Cut released, I've been VERY busy recording all new video training for the new version of the software. Our latest "FCP X: Workflow & Editing" title looks to have 138 movies and run about 12 hours.  I have the first 101 movies recorded, only 37 more to go; working on the Audio chapter now.

As a first, we are posting each movie in my new training as soon as it is available directly to my Video Training Library - the first 55 movies are available today. This is a GREAT reason to become a member of our Library - titles get posted there first. My hope is to release the download version as soon as we get all the recording and editing complete. Hopefully by the end of this week.

PLUS, also for the first time ever, we are bundling practice media with my downloaded training. So you can open the same clips and follow along. Very cool!

Aside from its all-new interface, there are a number of new features in Final Cut to get excited about - and I'm doing everything I can to cover them completely in our new training.

Celebrating Final Cut, I have three new articles this week - all on Final Cut, plus a new article from the team at DoddleNEWS on a new version of DaVinci Resolve that supports the new Final Cut. Check them out below.

Fortunately, our construction ended just as the new Final Cut came out. So, we are restarting webinars this Wednesday with an in-depth look at the major new features of the software. Registration to our webinars is always free - sign up here. (We have a limit of 250 seats for each presentation, so sign up today.)

Once I get this newsletter put to bed, I'm back in the studio recording the last of my training. I can't wait to share it with you.

Oh!  We are running a pre-release special price - buy all my FCP X 10.3 training for only $49!  The price will go up once we release it next week.
Here's the link.

In the meantime, edit well.

P.S. I should mention, I guess, that Apple also announced new hardware last week. We covered that on The Buzz. Not as exciting as Final Cut, though.

This Week On The Buzz!

This week, The Buzz looked at new Apple hardware and - in celebration of Halloween - horror films!

   * Gus Krieger
   * Jeff Farley
   * Lisa Younger

* Jeff G. Rack

  * Jonathan Handel
   * James DeRuvo

Horror films employ a LOT of folks! Gus talked about writing horror scripts, Lisa talked about acting, Jeff Rack talked about creating a scary set, and Jeff Farley talked about horror makeup.  James and Larry talked about Apple.
