Three-and-a-half new articles this week covering drones, Final Cut, Motion and Adobe Media Encoder. Cool, I like variety.

We have two interesting shows coming up on the Digital Production Buzz this week and next. This week, we are talking about archiving - looking at both hardware and software. Then, next week, we are talking with three experts in PR. Why? Because they often have a better overview of our industry than folks working at individual companies. I want to get their opinions on what's going on as we head into NAB.

These shows should create some interesting conversations.

Thinking of interesting, Tim Dashwood had a great segment on The Buzz last week. We talked with him on the floor of a motion capture studio about motion capture and shooting the new 360-degree video format; along with virtual reality and augmented reality.  If you want to get up-to-speed on new technology, you need to watch this segment.

NAB is getting closer - its about four weeks away. There are many things I'm looking forward to seeing, but the one that has my greatest interest is HDR. This could revolutionize our industry. The key, for me, is whether monitors will be affordable by smaller production and post houses, or whether their cost is so high as to limit HDR to only the very largest shops. I'm hoping monitors become affordable to everyone, because all of us could benefit by selling new services to clients. We shall see.

We live in interesting times - both good and bad. I look forward to seeing what the future brings.  And I'll be back next week - chat then.

This week, we look at all kinds of cool stuff! Larry and Mike talk with Tim Dashwood, Mike Woodworth, and Rollo Wenlock.

Ask Larry Anything
This webinar is one of my favorites; a free-form Q&A session answering questions supplied by the audience.

We had two separate presentations, so we created two different movies - each with unique content.

The 9AM session discussed 25 questions, while the 12PM covered 17.

These two sessions are only available in our Video Training Library; which means now is a perfect time to join.

Webinars On Hiatus
Webinars are taking a break for a couple of weeks, but I don't think they are going away.

Details are still being worked out and I hope to announce a permanent solution in the next couple of weeks.

For now, take advantage of the current titles in our store, or become a member of our Video Training Library. Either way, you win.

Thanks.
