Oct. 5, 2015

Apple released El Capitan, the latest version of OS X, last week and immediately several plug-in developers issued cautions about updating. I have a blog that talks about this as well. The short answer is that if you haven't upgraded yet, wait a bit and let Apple and its developers get the problems sorted out. And, please, NEVER upgrade the OS in the middle of a large editing project.

Our Creative Truths contest ended last week. Thanks to everyone that entered; reading these thoughts was a highlight of my weekend. The details are below.

By the way, if you haven't joined our Video Training Library, now would be a good time. Over the last two weeks, we've added more than 20 new training movies covering Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro CC, Photoshop and some very cool movies on story-telling; more than twenty hours of new material.

If you live on the East Coast of the US, I hope you are safe and dry. Everywhere else, enjoy the fall. (Or, um, Spring; depending.)  Chat with you next week.

"Creative Truths" Contest Ended

Our contest ended last Wednesday, accumulating hundreds of entries. The last batch of winners is posted to our website.

This coming week, my team and I will have the fun task of figuring out the Top Five winners of the contest, each of whom qualifies for some nifty prizes.

Thanks to everyone who entered. This was fun!
Color Correction Proves Popular

Two of our most recent webinars on color correction in Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro CC have proven very popular.

These two titles have been downloaded more than any other webinar this year.

If you want to improve the look of your images, one of these two webinars can help.
