NEW FINAL CUT PRO X TRAINING
Larry Jordan

Our new Final Cut Pro X training on the 10.0.6 update is getting great reviews - for which I'm very grateful.

Today is your last day to SAVE 20% on the purchase price.
The new FCP X update is amazing - without question the most feature-packed update to Final Cut since its initial release. There are dozens of significant enhancements - everything from new features to performance improvements.

The retail price of our training is $24.99. However, if you enter FCPX06 as the coupon code during checkout, you can save $5 -- making the training a ridiculously affordable $19.99. (Special pricing ends 11/13/12.)
And, if you want to see what our FCP X 10.0.6 training covers, take a look at this detailed PDF outline.

INTERESTING INTERVIEWS
(FREE!)

Last week, my podcast, DigitalProductionBuzz.com, was the official podcast at the Entertainment Technology Expo (ETE), in Burbank, California.

We created four live shows and more than 16 interviews. Everyone was interesting, but there are two interviews I want to call to your attention:

NEW WEBINAR

Our webinars resume this week
with a Video Compression Shoot-out between  Compressor, Telestream Episode, and Sorenson Squeeze. (Well, "Shoot-out" may be a little harsh, but we will look at all three of them.)

Wondering which to choose, or how they work?  Join us this Wednesday.  (And remember, training subscribers can always attend any of
our webinars for free!)

NEW ARTICLES THIS WEEK

Four new articles this week - two videos on Final Cut Pro X, and two cookbooks on Final Cut Pro 7 -- plus updates to all our Top 3 lists.

As always, the details are below.

VIDEO TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO X
Copy/Paste Attributes

In this short video tutorial, discover how to use the new Copy / Paste Effects Attributes in the new 10.0.6 version of Final Cut Pro X.

As well, I'll show you how this option allows you to adjust keyframes to compensate for differences between clip durations.

View the video here. (Note, this video won't play in FireFox.)

VIDEO TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO X
The Drop Shadow Effect

Yay!! Drop shadows have returned to Final Cut Pro X.

With the 10.0.6 update, we can now add drop shadows to any clip in the Timeline.

In this short video tutorial, discover how this effect works and how to use both the on-screen controls and the Inspector settings.

View the video here. (Note, this video won't play in FireFox.)

TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO 7
Multicam Clip Cookbook

When I teach my Final Cut Pro 7 classes, I often provide one-page handouts that simplify the process of creating common elements.

This is a step-by-step cookbook on how to create a multicam clip for FCP 7 - along with additional resources of a detailed written tutorial and video training.

TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO 7
Chroma-key Cookbook

Here's another step-by-step cookbook -- this one is on creating a green-screen, or chroma-key, effect.

As with my other cookbook, this also includes additional resources with an illustrated step-by-step guide and a video tutorial.
