Moving Stuff Around

This is an introductory tutorial to scaling, positioning, and modifying clips in Premiere Pro CS6. In this step-by-step technique, I'll show you how to create a picture-in-picture effect, then add a 3D perspective to the result.

If you are new to effects, or new to Premiere, you need to read this article.
TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO 7 AND FCP X
Exporting Clips with Transparency

This tutorial shows how to export media that contains transparency using either Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X.

The trick is to include the alpha channel. FCP X makes this fairly easy, FCP 7 makes it hard. Either way, you'll learn how here.

TECHNIQUE: COMPRESSOR 4 (AND 3)
Adding a Video Watermark

One of the cool, but hidden, features in Compressor 3 or 4 is the ability to embed video watermarks.

In this article, learn what you need to know to create a clip with an alpha channel (which simply means transparency), export it from Final Cut Pro X, then embed it during compression using Compressor 4.

This is a very cool technique that has all kinds of potential uses.
