Greetings!
HAPPY OCTOBER - WELCOME FALL!Larry Jordan

Well, October 1 may not be the official start date of fall, but its finally time to start getting some cooler temperatures. I hope so, summer is not my favorite time.

Over the weekend, I finished recording the rest of my Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 training - 26 new movies which are now in editing. We'll be posting these to our subscription site during the week. There is some very cool stuff here - lots of details and hours and hours of in-depth coverage of the latest Adobe editing application.

This was a fun project - I enjoyed everyone's comments.  If you are a subscriber, keep your eyes on the Table of Contents page. If you aren't a subscriber, now is a perfect time to join -- 76 new movies devoted to helping you make the most of Premiere Pro CS6.

LARRY IS ON THE ROAD

I'm traveling to Postapalooza next week, so I'll be writing this from the road. If you are attending, be sure to say hello.

I have some interesting sessions planned, and will  write up a report when I get back.

FINAL CUT PRO X WEBINAR THIS WEEK

Our next webinar is this Wednesday: "Faster Editing in Final Cut Pro X." We are back to two shows a day.

This seminar is focused on speeding up the basics of editing. If you are new to the application, or want to see if it can keep up with you, check out this webinar.

Remember, subscribers always attend webinars free.

THREE NEW ARTICLES THIS WEEK

I have three new articles for you this week -- one video tutorial and two step-by-step techniques.

Plus, our expanded Top 3 Lists - see what others are learning!

As always, the details are below.

TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO X
Create a Traveling Matte

In this step-by-step tutorial  learn how to create one of my favorite effects: a traveling matte in Final Cut Pro X.

We could do this in Final Cut Pro 7, but FCP X uses an entirely different method.  Still, you'll like the final results.

Read the article here.

TECHNIQUE: PREMIERE PRO CS6
Create Separate Audio Channels

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to edit a stereo audio clip when you need to adjust each channel separately.

In this step-by-step tutorial, watch as I show you three different ways to isolate the two channels of a stereo audio clip into something we can actually work with.

There is some very cool stuff here, which can decrease your stress level when working with Premiere Pro.

TECHNIQUE: MOTION 5
Animate Text on a Curved Path

This is a video tutorial showing how to animate text along a curved path.

It also shows how to change the shape of the path and, um, cover it in frost; or any other style that you prefer.

This is an excerpt from a recent webinar that answers a question that many people have asked.

Watch the video here.
