Tori, in our office, had a great idea. "Would it be helpful," she asked, "if I compiled a detailed outline of all our Final Cut Pro X training?" "That's more than 160 movies and more than 18 hours of training!," I replied.  She decided to go to work and, 20 pages later, she's almost done!  Amazing.

To celebrate her efforts, we are offering this in-depth outline as a FREE BONUS to everyone that purchases our Final Cut Pro X: Complete training from now till next Monday. (If you already own any of our FCP X training, we will send you a free copy later this week when the outline is complete.)

Stored as a PDF, searching this document makes finding the right movie a whole lot faster. Click here to view the first page so you can see what this looks like.

Click here to purchase our entire FCP X training. We will email the final PDF separately to you later this week.

ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF FCP X

Last week marked the one-year anniversary of the release of Final Cut Pro X.  And, frankly, I can't think of a more tumultuous year in our industry.  I wrote two blogs about this - both are listed below.  I'd love to hear your comments.

NEW THURSDAY WEBINAR

Our Webinars move to Thursday for this week only, with a "First Look" at Autodesk Smoke.

Building on the Smoke video training that I recently completed with the help of Autodesk, this online session is designed for people that are curious about the application. In an hour, I'll show you how to get started with the application.

Since the trial version of Smoke is free, invest a little time to see what all the Buzz is about.

MORE JULY WEBINARS COMING SOON!

We are already planning our remaining July webinars and will be announcing titles next week for the rest of July and August.

Remember, subscribers can always attend our live webinars for FREE. Subscribe today -- our subscriptions save you time, money and stress!

NEW ARTICLES THIS WEEK

I have two new blogs, two new articles, and two articles from the vaults that I think you'll find interesting. They are all detailed below. Enjoy.

BLOG: APPLE AND PROFESSIONALS
Commentary

There's been a lot of discussion about Apple's attention to the professional market recently.

In a conversation with the Arizona Final Cut Pro User Group, I was asked whether Apple still cares about the professional market.

Read my answer here.

BLOG: YOUR OPINIONS
Final Cut Pro X - One Year Later
Logo: Larry's Blog
June 21, 2011. Final Cut Pro X was released - and the industry hasn't been the same since.

Lots has been written, but, this time, I want to ask your opinion of how FCP X has affected you.

TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO X
FCP X: Effects with Light

Here are four interesting effects you can do to simulate light inside Final Cut Pro X:  vignette, spot, artifacts, and shadows.

Cool stuff.

TECHNIQUE: ADOBE AUDITION
Audio Repair

The more I work with Audition, the more I like it.

Here's a step-by-step technique that shows you how to remove AC hum and clean up otherwise impossible audio glitches.

TECHNIQUE: FINAL CUT PRO 7
Motion Tab Basics

Here's a great way to learn how to use the Motion tab in FCP 7 - create an animated picture-in-picture effect.

Taken from the archives, this is still a great step-by-step tutorial for those that are new to creating effects.

TECHNIQUE: COMPRESSOR
Adding Chapter Markers

Final Cut Pro X does not support chapter markers. So, we need to add them in Compressor.

Here's an article that explains how to create chapter markers manually or automatically in Compressor 3 or 4.
