Greetings!

Several pieces of cool news:

We are in the process of adding our FCP X: Workflow and Editing title to our subscription service. We should be done by the end of February. Becoming a member is a great way to learn and save money!

I have a new video tutorial and several new audio interviews for you this week.

Our podcast - Digital Production Buzz - is heading back to the NAB 2012 Show for our fifth year of wall-to-wall coverage and special shows.  More on what we are doing next month!

I'm doing a free webinar for Filmmaking Webinars next week on the new features in FCP X. Click here to learn more.

We have compiled all the best "Editing Truths" winners from our contest last year in a BRAND NEW BOOK!  If you need a break from dealing with clients - and the pressure of the creative life - you need this book. (And, if you contributed a winning saying, we'll be contacting you this week to send your free copy!)

Two new articles this week - plus this week's webinar looks at Adobe Story.

Let's take a look at what's new this week.

MOTION 5: VIDEO TECHNIQUE
Publishing Motion 5 Effects to Final Cut Pro X

All FCP X effects are Motion 5 templates. Which means that it is easy to use Motion to create custom effects that you can use inside Final Cut Pro X.

This video tutorial shows you how to create a custom effect - in this case a generator - save it to use in FCP X, then add controls which allow you to change the effect inside FCP without needing to return to Motion. Its easy - once you learn how!

NEW BOOK!
Editing Truths for Better Living

If you have ever needed to be nice to a client, regain that creative spark, or simply ponder the weirdness of life, you need this book.

Compiled from our highly successful contest last year which encouraged editors to share their favorite "Truths to Live By," we now have all the essentials of life stored in one place. AND, its only $4.99!!
