Greetings!

Larry Jordan
Larry, himself.
I read that employment is starting to pick back up - it is my hope this results in more work for all of us!

I have two new articles for you this week, a new webinar, and a new feature: the Top 3 Articles on my website last week.

This week's webinar introduces the new Motion 5. Specifically, I want to show you how to use it to create new effects you can use inside Final Cut Pro X.  (If you are using Motion 4, be sure to check out our existing series of webinars on how to use Motion.)

(By the way, last week's webinar on using music to enhance a scene was a lot of fun to present. This was a great way to showcase the changes in emotion you can achieve by changing the timing of a music cue.)

Here's a list of all our January webinars. I hope to see you there.

FCP X TECHNIQUE
Secrets of the Compound Clip

FCP 7 calls them "nests." In FCP X, they are "compound clips," and they are a great way to share edited sequences between projects.

This tutorial explains what they are and how to create them in both the Timeline and the Event Browser.

FCP X TECHNIQUE
Enhancing Your Audio

There's nothing worse than getting a great take - only to have the audio ruined by hum.

FCP X provides three automatic enhancements that can solve problems with your audio - such as distortion, hum, noise, or clips that are too soft. Even better, it is easy to apply, or remove, these effects.

This tutorial shows you how. Click here to read the entire article.
