Be sure to RSVP for "Public and Permanent," sponsored by The Christ School. At this informative program, you will learn about keeping your family safe online. A session for parents will take place on Monday, October 3, at 7:00 pm. A session for students in grades 5 - 8 will take place on Tuesday, October 4, at 8:30 am. School Photos Come Home Today
Be sure to look for your child's school photos today. If you are unhappy with your child's photos, retakes will be held on Monday, October 3. Retakes are only an option for those students who have already purchased a photo package. If your child will be retaking their photo, be sure to have them return the complete unwanted photo package to the photographer. Students who are retaking their photo, or missed having a photo taken in September, as well as students who have recently enrolled at TCS, will need to sign up for an appointment on October 3. For questions, contact Hayes Schardt.

Middle School Class Trips
Middle School Class Trips are an important part of our extended curriculum at The Christ School. We are pleased to provide you with information that will help prepare you and your child to have a successful experience on their class trip. Middle school parents are invited to an informational meeting which will provide an overview of the 6th - 8th grade class trips on Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 pm in the Reformation Chapel. If you have any questions that you would like to have answered at the meeting, please send them to Mrs. Lail by Monday, October 10.

TCS Siblings - Enroll Now!
Sibling enrollment is open for the 2017-2018 school year. The Christ School will waive the $150 application fee for our families enrolling an older or younger sibling for the first time. Apply on or before December 16, 2016, to take advantage of this discount. The discount is for TCS siblings applying for Transitional Kindergarten - 8th grade for the first time. The Christ School Online Application is a quick and easy process. We encourage you to apply early as waiting pools are expected in several grades for the upcoming school year. Please contact Joanne Fleming, TCS Director of Admission, if you have any questions.

One Great Day of Service Sponsorships
We are currently seeking sponsors for One Great Day of Service. Only a few spaces remain for company logos on our t-shirts. Every student will receive a shirt to wear on October 28 and they will be available for parents to purchase as well. Last year, we distributed over 500 shirts. Don't miss this great opportunity to show your support of The Christ School and get your company name out in the community! Please contact Angela V. Harrison for more information.

Did you know we have our very own news station located in the computer lab at The Christ School? TCS News is an exciting wheel class opportunity for middle school students. Students write and produce the stories, serve as anchors, film the segments, and edit the final broadcast. Recently, our students produced an episode that the entire school enjoyed after Chapel. You can find the latest episode on RenWeb under Resource Documents. It is located under the heading of Newsletter Archive, and is titled TCS News - Episode 2 - Fall 2016. Enjoy! For the safety of our students, please do not share the video on social media.

Building Music Skills and Confidence
Students in Mrs. Sweet's 6th grade music wheel class were given a ukulele assignment to perform a song in front of the class, either as a solo or in a group. They all worked very hard preparing for their turn in the spotlight. Performances featured original songs, old and new songs, choreography, costumes, and even songs with lighting and slide shows. Mrs. Sweet is proud of their creativity, and how wonderfully the students supported one another during the performances. It was a great confidence builder for all of the students!
