Head of School Search Web Page
The Christ School's Board of Trustees (BOT) is making strong and steady progress in our Head of School search. As Jennifer Bostedo, Chair of our BOT, shared at Open House, Jim Adare Consulting, LLC has been engaged as The Christ School's executive search firm to help us navigate through the search process. Last week, the search committee was finalized. The Christ School has dedicated a page on our web site to our Head of School search. We invite our families and community to visit this page often to keep apprised of our progress as we seek the next leader God has prepared for our school. For questions, please contact Dana Loncar, Search Committee Chair.

Lower School Service Club - Register Today!
More than sixty of our lower school students have already registered for the 2016-17 Lower School Service Club! We plan to complete at least four projects this year (on campus) as well as provide optional activities to do at home and over holiday breaks. Parents are encouraged to attend the after-school service projects with their child and serve as a family (REACH participants may serve with a REACH leader). Please register your child by September 22 so that we know how many students and parents to expect for our first project, scheduled for Tuesday, October 4 at 3:30 pm (location TBD). Contact Development Specialist and TCS mom, Angela V Harrison, for more information.

Two Opportunities for Corporate Partners
We are excited to offer two great opportunities for businesses this fall as Corporate Partners. We are currently seeking t-shirt sponsors for One Great Day of Service. Only four spaces remain for company logos. Don't miss out! There is also an opportunity to become a sponsor of one of our Lower School Service Club projects this school year. Please contact Angela V. Harrison for more information about how your business can partner with TCS.

Art Appreciation 2016-2017
Art Appreciation is a year-long event this year and we are seeking volunteers to help monthly. You do not have to be artistic, just willing to cut and glue! TCS room 219 will be reserved all day the last Tuesday of each month. If you are able to help out anytime during the day, please sign up and come join the fun! If you sign up for the day you can come anytime during that day (8:45 am - 3:00 pm) to help out for as long or as little as you have available. If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Carnes, Art Appreciation Chair.

Sentence Diagramming - You're Going to Hollywood!
Sixth grade students in Mrs. Sheldon's Writing Wheel are developing their understanding of language through the art of sentence diagramming. Not only do they learn where to place a word on the diagram, but they also process the purpose of each word and its function within the sentence. Through the creativity of the students, this fun activity became a friendly competition that resembled "America's Got Talent." Students nominated themselves as judges and determined if the...
