Marshall Community Services Looking to Name Four Parks
MARSHALL - Kari Loft, Marshall Community Services Advisory Board (MCS) chair announced today that the City of Marshall will be permanently naming four parks and is looking for community input. The parks to be named are: - The park on Windstar Street
- The park by US Bank (Parkway Addition)
- The Marshall Area Dog Park
- Wayside Park (Hwy 23)
The naming of these additional parks will continue with the current theme of parks in Marshall (services, community, patriotism, etc.). Current parks in Marshall include Freedom Park, Independence Park, Justice Park, Liberty Park and Memorial Park. Name suggestions can be left at the Marshall Minnesota Facebook page, via surveys published by the City of Marshall on Twitter, by email to preston.stensrud@marshallmn.com or by calling Marshall Community Services at 507-537-6767. MCS will be collecting name suggestions through Friday, March 28, 2014. The MCS Advisory Board will choose the names at the April 2nd board meeting for submission to the City Council at the April 8th Council meeting.
