Choosing the Best Sign Font

for Your Signs

Comic Sans has long been the "world's most hated font," but why is choosing the right typeface so important? What is it about a font that can attract readers or make them cringe? How does one begin to pick a font when there are literally thousands out there to choose from?

Readability is a big factor. The font you choose for your signs and branding should be easily legible, and the font should not overpower the text. Some fonts are too distracting because of their ornate design and end up actually taking away from the text. You want to choose a font with legible letters and clear spacing between words and letters for your signs, so readers can focus on what your sign says, rather than debating the merits of the font you chose.
