STOR-X® Organizing Systems started out in 1989 as Pacific Closet Works Ltd., going into people's homes and organizing them. They specialize in organizing systems for bedrooms, closets, garage, pantry, laundry, mudroom, office, and kids spaces. Their products are versatile, economical, and custom-fit organization products for new building construction and homeowners. In 2014, STOR-X® leads the way in innovative design, and lean and green manufacturing practices.

Wolf Nickel's dad and his brother operate Nickels Cabinets and so at young age Wolf learned how to run the saws and equipment by building storage systems out the back door of Nickels. Initially he borrowed their tools but later got his own warehouse space in a Richmond BC business park.

Connecting tightly with the construction industry, Wolf started Pacific Closet Works and it grew rapidly. By 1997, Business In Vancouver magazine named them one of the fastest growing companies because over eight years their annual sales went from $30,000 to well over $700,000. 

Their products come unassembled and flattened down, sort of like a well-known Swedish furniture manufacturer. Customers and installers can custom-order and then the product is produced in Richmond and shipped out. This system has made these organizing products perfect for an export market and so the company grew an extensive network of resellers in the US.
