HAPPY JULY 4TH!

Wishing you a SAFE and a happy July 4th!

Roof Tips for "Fireworks Season":

1. If your roof is not specifically designed for foot traffic, limit access to minimize damage to the roof system.

If you are lucky enough to have a roof that is designed for foot traffic, such as the parking garage roof at the Renaissance City Apartments in Detroit (a Village Green Property), this type of roof can be an EXCELLENT place to view a local fireworks display!!! And has Detroit got an impressive "local" display!!! WOW!!!

2. What comes up does come down! Ensure that fireworks that leave the ground (they are legal in Michigan!) are kept at a safe distance from your roof. Any projectile or dropped object can damage the roof membrane and result in a leak issue.

3. Have your roof checked- a basic visual inspection after things like fireworks or severe storms can often identify damage before a leak enters your building. We can provide inspections upon request or tailor a yearly or semi-annual maintenance program to meet your building's needs.
