KTDO Telemundo 48 Hosts Live 12 Corazones Event

Viewers packed the Socorro Entertainment Center to see Penlope Menchaca in action

El Paso, TX - Thousands of spectators attended the live version of Telemundo's popular game show 12 Corazones, which combines the secrets of love with the mysteries of astrology, on August 3 at the Socorro Entertainment Center in El Paso.  The dating game is the #1 Spanish-language program in the market at 1pm with adults 18-34.  KTDO Telemundo 48 organized the event to allow viewers to experience the highly-entertaining show and to meet Penlope Menchaca, the charismatic host.

Local contestants were selected online at holaciudad.com and on-site.   Twelve participants between the ages of 21 and 29 were invited to the stage to find their soul mate as Menchaca brought her unique style and wild antics to a highly-animated crowd.  Contestants went through a harrowing process of elimination which included the men dancing in angel wings and tutus to impress their female counterparts.  The event concluded with four love connections.

To celebrate the new romances, KTDO Telemundo 48 treated the couples to dinner after the event.  Each contestant also received a restaurant gift card to use on their next date.  After the show, Menchaca signed autographs and took photos with hundreds of fans.

"The live version of 12 Corazones was incredibly fun and highly entertaining.  This venue is typically used for concerts so it was amazing to see it packed with our viewers.  Penlope is clearly a fan favorite in El Paso," commented Lorena Castaeda, the Station Manager of KTDO Telemundo 48.
