 SPOTLIGHT ON WINE
We like to occasionally shine a spotlight o n some amazing wines from our list. First up, we recently received an allocation of Turley "Juvenile" Zinfandel. This beauty is vibrant and jammed with fruit, offering black cherry and toasty vanilla aromas, with focused raspberry, sage and smoky licorice flavors. It is extremely food friendly and will make a lasting impression on you for sure. There is very limited allocation of this wine, so come in and get it while you can.
The second wine (or wines) that we want to focus on will be arriving at Tastings later this month. First Crush Winery is a family owned and operated winery on Cape Cod in Harwich. They make a variety of incredible wines by sourcing grape s from a prime location immediately adjacent to the southeast corner of Napa Valley. The grapes arrive via a refrigerated tractor trailer and are handcrafted by winemaker Dr. Frank Puzio. This local, family-based story is reason enough for us to want to carry their wines, but they are also outstanding wines worthy of Tastings' award winning wine list. We will be offering a "Your First Crush" wine flight in the coming weeks so be sure to be on the lookout for it. First Crush also operates a wine cooperative where you can craft your own wines and be involved in the crush, fermenting, barrelling and bottling. We thrilled to announce our first farm-to-fork dinner of 2013. We are partnering with our good friends from Elmhurst Farm in Norfolk, MA. We buy the majority of our beef and veal from Elmhurst and we are very proud to support a dedicated family farm that is right in our own backyard. Our Tower Gardens have been causing quite a stir at Patriot Place since their arrival a couple of weeks ago. The plants are growing like mad and it will be no time before we are harvesting yummy produce literally just steps from our kitchen.
