On Monday, April 15th, me along with a group of friends attended the Boston Marathon festivities. We were having a wonderful time until that fateful time of approximately 2:50pm. Two bombs in rapid succession, the second of which was just 20 yards away from me, changed the atmosphere from one of idyllic celebration to pure terror. I feel I owe my life to the unfortunate victims that absorbed the shock and shrapnel of that second bomb. I simply need to do something to help them.
To that end, Tastings is partnering with Patriot Place and the Kraft Family to raise funds for the victims of the bombings. Tastings will donate 20% of all sales tonight, Wednesday, April 17th, to a fund to support the victims and their families. The Kraft family will match Tastings' donation.
So please gather up a group of friends and head into Tastings tonight for some great food, drink and most importantly...let's celebrate COMMUNITY and help heal the wounds, physical and psychological, that we all have since so many of us have been touched by this tragedy directly or indirectly.
To help entertain us, Will Worthy, from the amazing local band Wayz & Means will be on hand performing a live acoustic set from 7 to 10pm.
