We're getting deep into the bracket now and have been surprised by the strength being exhibited by some of our more obscure varietals. We've had Torrontes beating Sauv Blancs, Zweigelts beating Barberas, and Tempranillos beating Cabs. This really highlights the fun of trying off-the-beaten-path wines and how wine is in its glory days with quality producers making stunning wines from less noteworthy grapes.
Round 4 of the red bracket will pit the Volver Tempranillo against the Huber Zweigelt. The white bracket will feature Casa Lapostolle Sauv Blanc against the Ciro Greco Bianco.
