Highlights: 

According to the latest ONS figures, output in the construction industry decreased by 2.6% in January 2015.

In contrast the Construction Products Association's Construction Trade Survey shows activity rising for the 7th consecutive quarter to Q4 2014.

The Markit/CIPS PMI Shows the fastest rise in new orders in construction, since October 2014.

Regulations & initiatives
 

BREEAM domestic standards for sustainable homes, launched this month at Ecobuild. with a new Home Quality Mark.

The government have issued a third release from the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) worth up to £70 million.

A '3 years on' report has been issued by The Green Construction Board.

Industry updates

The government has released unused public sector land, to be used for building over 103,000 new homes.
