Highlights: 

The Glenigan Index shows the UK construction industry in a strong position heading into 2015.
 
 

Experian construction forecasts expect growth in 2015, before dropping in 2016, with private housing and infrastructure expected to be best performing sectors. 


London is the top performing region for house prices in 2014, as prices head far beyond the 2007 pre-recession peak.

Regulations & initiatives

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have released data indicating that around 95% (7.6m) of solid walled homes still need to be insulated.
 

A mystery shopper of customer experiences has been completed on Green Deal assessments and DECC have published The ECO and Green Deal Annual Report 2013/14.

BIS has now published PAS 7000:2014 which is intended to become the standard prequalification process.
