February 13 - 19, 2016 will be a special HEARTline Valentine's Week for couples. Click HERE for more information. We look forward to serving you as you seek to serve those in Haiti together.

The Sponsorship Program
Thank YOU! This year's fall sponsorship drive was awesome. We appreciate the efforts of Ashley, Dave, Ryan,  and Troy who worked to provide you with intimate knowledge and some amazing photos and facts about our programs. Six new WEC sponsors, two new Men's Discipleship Class sponsors, and 22 new Corail student sponsors joined our family of Heartline sponsors. You are making a huge impact in the lives of the program participants. Praise God!

Welcome!
We would like to extend a warm and very excited welcome to one of Heartline Foundation's newest members - Teresa Wilkinson. She is the new Regional Development Manager for the west region. She brings much fundraising and event planning experience to the team. If you live in the western part of the United States or Canada and would like to connect with Teresa, she would love to hear from you!

Feed the Hunger is an evangelical mission organization that connects followers of Christ with strategic leaders domestically and overseas to help fulfill the Great Commission.

Heartline Foundation partners with Feed the Hunger in two ways: to recruit and facilitate food packathons all over the U.S and then to distribute some of that food to those in Haiti! Recipients include children at the schools where the Heartline Sponsorship Program is involved as well as the Heartline Maternity Center!

If you would like more information about how your church, school or organization could host a packathon, please contact Cortney

Agathe, Maternity Center Angel
A Commemoration
Written by Beth Johnson, CPM, LM
It was late 2007 when Agathe and Beth walked the streets of our little neighborhood calling out, "On! Resp!" ("Honor and respect"- a common cultural greeting when approaching someone's house.)  They were on a mission to start a maternity center and a maternity center needed pregnant women. As they went from house to house they asked if there were any pregnant women living there and requested that occupants pass the word to any pregnant friends.

The Maternity Center started as a small gathering of pregnant women, coming each week for prenatal vitamins, a meal, and a health education class. The memory of those early days at the Maternity Center are fondly reflected on as we've said goodbye to Agathe.

Over the years Agathe's role at the Maternity Center has been teacher, translator, live breastfeeding example (standing at the front of the class breastfeeding her own babies while teaching), and cultural liaison (helping the Americans realize how much we don't understand). Agathe's steadiness and nonjudgemental acceptance of the women we care for has been a beautiful example to all of us.

During Agathe's time with Heartline, she met her husband, Ben and they've had three sweet girls together- Gracie, Bernie, and Anna. Agathe recently resigned from working at the Maternity Center to care for her girls, while Ben travels for his job with the UN.

We would like to honor and thank Agathe for the ways she has loved and served over the years. She will be missed!

Please pray for Ben, Agathe, and their girls over the next few months as they face a lot of changes and transition.

The Heartline Event Calendar
Join Us...
Fall is super busy at Heartline, whether we are talking about in Haiti or Stateside. Here is a glimpse of our Fall calendar. We hope you will take a moment to pray for all the activity and that God will introduce Heartline to others who may have the heart to get involved. Please also pray for rest and the ability for our staff, missionaries, and volunteers to quiet their souls to hear God more clearly despite the hustle and bustle.

If you would like to participate in or volunteer at any of the events, please let us know!

October 21st: Heartline Foundation will be at Belmont University in Nashville, TN for a mission fair. The fair is from 11 am to 4 pm. If you live in the area, we'd love if you stopped by our table! For more info, please email Christie.

"Mercy to the needy is a loan to God,

Mezita "Tata" Zamor has been a Heartline employee since 2003. She has served as a nanny, housekeeper, and is currently one of the cooks for the Women's Education Center, Bakery, and Heartline Office. Tata's husband died in a moto accident in 2011 that left her a single mom to their son, Gilbert. While she pays for Gilbert's uniform and supplies (as well as their living expenses) through her Heartline salary, she is still needing help to cover the rest of his schooling expenses. Tata has been a loyal employee and part of the Heartline community for many years, and we appreciate her hard work and sweet humility. If you would like to come alongside Tata and Gilbert and assist with the remaining school expenses (~$450/year), please contact Brittany with Heartline Foundation. Thank you!

Marie Williana, or better known as Gran Rosemont around Heartline, has been a part of the community since January 2010. Her grandson, Rosemont, was a patient at the HL Field Hospital and lost both of his parents during the earthquake. She has been a cook at the Maternity Center since April 2010 and both her and Rosemont are dear members of the Heartline family. Rosemont is now 16 and doing well in the 5th grade. Gran Rosemont and her husband, Phillippe, are working hard to support their household of five, but could use a little extra help in covering the cost of Rosemont's tuition and uniform. Approximately $385 will help Rosemont to continue going to school for another year. Please contact Brittany if you would like to partner with Marie.

* There is an optional 10% additional fee to help cover Heartline's administrative costs for these family support situations (transportation, billing fees, staff resources/time, etc.). Feel free to discuss this with Brittany. Thank you.
