Canvas Transition - Only one more quarter of Blackboard!

Canvas will replace Blackboard as DU's Learning Management System after the Spring quarter. Blackboard will only be available until June 20, 2015.

Although many DU courses are now using Canvas, we only have one quarter left to complete the transition. If you haven't yet made the switch to Canvas, now is the time! Make sure to back-up all materials still in Blackboard that you don't already have saved!

Below are some resources you may find helpful during the final quarter of this transition period.

Please contact the OTL and sign up for a Canvas workshop to assist you during the transition.

Continuing the Conversation: What are We Learning About Learning?

February 27, 2015

8:30am-10:30am

Sturm Hall Room 134

You are invited to an interdisciplinary discussion of program assessment successes at DU.  Share the things that are working well in improving programs and enhancing student learning.  What assessment strategies are providing meaningful information?  What evidence has your program gathered that led to particularly productive faculty discussions?  How has the development and/or implementation of assessment processes been beneficial to the student learning experience?

In this workshop, find out about what other programs are doing and share the things that are working for you.  Participants who complete the program will be able to:
  • Identify assessment practices from other DU programs that create meaningful information about student learning.
  • Articulate a more complex view of the role of assessment in enhancing the effectiveness of academic programs.
  • Generate suggestions for changes in their own program processes that are likely to lead to more meaningful and manageable assessment of student learning.
Individuals and departmental teams are encouraged to attend.
