MISAFF (Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival) opens tonight with Rajat Kapoor's Ankhon Dekhi.  

Other notable films screening during MISAFF 2014 include the Canadian premiere of films such as VARA starring Shahana Goswami; Hank and Asha; the gritty Gangs of Tooting Broadway; Anima State, a dark comedy and an allegorical Pakistani tale about the state of affairs in the country; and Sulemani Keeda, a comedy about film writers. You're invited to join thousands of people around the world for the 3rd annual Yogathon  - the largest global Yogathon in history. 


Saturday, August 16 is the day to connect with your inner yogi, whether you are a novice, experienced, or merely curious: all you need is a Yoga mat and a benevolent spirit.  Participants are challenged to execute 108 sun salutations (or as many as you can, really!) in a large gathering of fellow participants, and join a global movement for education and change.

TD Mosaic Festival

TD Mosaic 2014, now in its 9th year, is bigger and better than ever.

The 9th annual Mosaic outdoor festival runs on August 15th and 16th showcasing over 200 artists and performers on two stages at Mississauga's Celebration Square, featuring Rekha Bhardwaj in full concert as Saturday night headliner and Karsh Kale (feat. TD Festival of South Asia

The TD Festival of South Asia creates a window into the East to celebrate and experience the culture and cuisine of South Asia.

From Bhangra to Basmati to Bollywood music, this event has all the ingredients to make festival visitors feel like they've travelled the world.

The Festival began in 2003 as a one day event and it attracted more than 25,000. From 2004, the festival was extended to 2 days. Although the Amusing Race is a timed challenge, participants are encouraged to race at their own pace.

South Asian Day at the Rogers CupBollywood superstar Gulshan Grover and Raptor's Superfan Nav Bhatia attended South Asian Day at the Rogers Cup on August 4 2014.

Spearheading the South Asian Day initiative at Rogers Cup, an avid Tennis fan Sandeep Lal has a vision to make this an annual event and promote the game of tennis to the South Asian Community.
