Dear Members, If you're a couple getting married this summer, and planning an outdoor ceremony, this yo-yo weather must be driving you crazy :) I was at a wedding a few weeks ago at the Evergreen Brickworks to celebrate the nuptials of my dear friend Rohit and his lovely bride Lareina. It was a picture perfect ceremony. The master of ceremonies for the wedding flew in from BC just to be part of this special milestone. It's not unusual anymore to see a lot of "out-of-town" guests at a wedding. A wedding is a lovely excuse to pack up and fly away. Then again, you don't really need an excuse to fly away - especially if someone will cover your flight expenses, right?

Celebrity Wedding: Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom's Wedding Ceremony in New York |
Sticking to tradition from start to finish, the wedding of boxer Amir Khan & his stunning wife Faryal Makhdoom was, as expected, a gorgeously lavish occasion.
Attended by 350 family members, Amir's good friend Jay Sean & covered by Hello! Magazine, the wedding was the perfect way to celebrate the modern day fairy tale romance of the couple.
True to Amir's Pakistani roots and Muslim customs, the wedding was full of the traditional series of events, including the joyous dholki event; which amongst the singing and dancing, also included adoring Amir's house with an array of fairy lights.
Whilst Amir's mendhi was held in Bolton, UK, Faryal's took place last Thursday, one day before the wedding day, at the Excelsior Grand venue in Staten Island. With Morrocan style décor in tones of pink and accents of rich purple, the mendhi venue looked incredibly festive and cosy. As Amir waited on stage dressed in a subtle bronze toned Salwar Kameez, Faryal entered in true traditional style. Dressed in a vivid orange and pink Anarkali suit, Faryal was carried in on her dholi by her brother Mohammed & seven of her cousins.
Instead of holding the nikaah ceremony in private, the couple decided to share the special moment with their family and friends - making the day even more emotional and intimate for all those who attended.

Grand finale of Indian Bride Fashion Week 2013 ends on a high fashion note |
Alia Bhatt walked the ramp on the last day of Indian Bride Fashion Week 2013, donning modern contemporary jewellery for a renowned brand 'Azva' by World Gold Council.
"I got the chance to wear this beautiful gold jewellery that usually a girl like me who is just 20 years old doesn't get to wear at home. I also want to add something to that bridal gold jewellery shouldn't only be worn on the day of your wedding," the actress stated.
The glamorous event finally came to an end on Sunday with shimmering and sheer silhouette defining bold Indian bride.
Designer Tarun Tahiliani, with his signature drapes, jewel tones, elegant line of bridal and trousseau wear, presented the grand finale of the IBFW.
Model-turned-actress, Lisa Haydon was Tahiliani's showstopper on the last day of IBFW.

Marriage does not have bearing on my work: Vidya Balan |
"I am enjoying being married," says Vidya Balan, adding that marriage neither put the brakes on her prizewinning acting career nor does it have any bearing on the kind of roles she would choose in future.
Work-life balance is possible for the actress because the "Parineeta" girl has found a supportive husband in Siddharth Roy Kapur, managing director of Studios, Disney UTV, with whom she tied the knot at a private ceremony in December last year.
"I am enjoying being married. The good thing is that at the end of the day you get to see each other," she told IANS in an exclusive interview.
Praising Siddharth, she added: "He is very supportive. In fact, I did 'The Dirty Picture' (2011) after we got together."
The 35-year-old doesn't feel marriage will alter the kind of roles she would take up.
"I don't think marriage really has a bearing on that. Both of us respect what the other does. I may choose a role which I feel very strongly about, and he may decide to produce a film which he feels very strongly about. You just respect each other's profession," she said.
