Welcome to another edition of MyBindi's 
Ottawa Highlights newsletter which now also serves the South Asian community in
Montreal!

 

And there's so much going on in Montreal! For instance, ROSS University is hosting a special orientation and information session on Saturday, March 2 at Hotel OMNI Mont Royal.  Click HERE for more information.

 

On March 24, you can attend Montreal's very first South Asian Wedding Show! How cool is that?

 

It's celebrities like Sugar Sammy that have put South Asians on the map in Montreal and on March 30 you can see Sugar Sammy perform The Indian Edition live at the Olympia!

 

At MyBindi.com, ee're all about celebrating this burst of South Asian pride and activity in the city and we're offering two free passes to enjoy Maher Zain live in concert in Ottawa and in Montreal!!

Islamic Relief presents Maher Zain: Songs for Hope
Maher Zain

 

The internationally acclaimed singer, Maher Zain partners with Islamic Relief to bring his "Songs of Hope" Tour 2013 to 10 cities in Canada and raise funds for orphans and children in need living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the globe. Joining him will be comedian, Omar Regan in Ottawa and Anas Syed & Moez Batik in Montreal.

 

Last year Maher helped Islamic Relief raise nearly $500,000 for their safe village projects across the globe. This year, he's back to beat that and make an even bigger difference in communities across the globe.

Kandahar :: The Fighting Season
Kandahar - The Fighting Season

An exhibition of photographs by Louie Palu, courtesy of Kinsman Robinson Galleries, presented by the Canadian War Museum.

From 2005 to 2011, Canadian soldiers were deployed to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. There they engaged in heavy combat with insurgents as part of an international effort to support the government of Afghanistan.

Award-winning Canadian photographer Louie Palu accompanied soldiers in the most dangerous districts of Kandahar. He captured their world of firefights and exhausting patrols in an unforgiving landscape.
