Chapter News
Welcome to the Holiday Season Chapter 49/50 Members. First order of business is to thank everyone who attended our meeting in September and especially thanks to Leroy Stephens of E-ONE, Inc. Leroy and his team put on a great tour of the facility and manufacturing process of Emergency Vehicles. E-One is a state of the art facility in Ocala, FL and provides a variety of specialty Emergency Vehicles around the country. Leroy has always been a great contributor to our chapter and came through again with a wonderful tour, thank you again for the time you have committed to this opportunity.
The Chapter members also send a special thanks to Greg George for his contribution and service over the years. He has been our chapter Trainer, Proctor, and Accredited Instructor for a number of years and has been a great part of our success as a Chapter. He will be leaving the Central Florida area for a new employment opportunity up North. We thank him for the time he has given us and for his ongoing contribution.
Chapter 49 is heading into an exciting time of the year where we can see both the future of our industry and also receive the satisfaction of the contributions our Chapter continues to give the community. I am speaking about our annual FIRST ROBOTICS meeting later this month. Our meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov 21, 2013 at H4 Building Orange County Extension Services, 6021 S. Conway Rd., Orlando, FL 32812. During the meeting, the FIRST robotics teams from area High Schools will showcase their previous year's success along with their plans for the 2014 competition. We will be awarding monetary contributions to the teams that we support and offer any help we can with designs for the competition. This is a great opportunity to see how we have impacted the community in a positive way. All Chapter members are welcome to attend this great event. Food and drinks will also be provided.
We look forward to seeing all of you at our next meeting and have a great Holiday Season!
