What We Did This Summer

Hi all.  We hope you had a great summer.  We did and we wanted to tell you about some of the fun stuff we got to do after Memorial Day.

Trailblazers Load-In
The summer started off with the traditional New York Philharmonic Memorial Day concert at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City.   We also did the lighting and audio rigs for Trailblazers, which was also filmed at the Cathedral.  We did renovation work on theaters in Connecticut, Maryland, Washington DC, New York State & New York City, Florida, Pennsylvania and Vermont.  We also spent a fair amount of time In Indiana on several projects.

We put up a rig for some drone racing in New Jersey.  That was cool.

Bill spent some of his time conducting training sessions in New York, California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Iowa and Alberta (Canada).  He also attended and spoke at conferences in Austin, TX and London, UK.  In the middle of all that he produced the third version of his quadrennial North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference, held in NYC.  It was extremely well attended and got rave reviews.  The harbor cruise even had fireworks!

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this a summer to remember.

NEW! Fuzzy Spectrum Double Braid

High Strength, Low Stretch, Soft (Fuzzy) Texture, Easily Spliced.

The low-stretch and soft woolly surface of this double braid rope makes for an excellent grip in wet or dry conditions and is easy on the hands.  Both the braided core and braided cover are made of 100% spun polyester.  This rope is an excellent choice for pulling points and as a general purpose handline.  (Not for use as a counterweight system operating line).

We find art in unexpected places...

This photo was part of a safety inspection report Bill filed this summer. With a little editing, Sarah thought it made a lovely composition.
