Holiday HEADS!

Holiday Greetings from Uncle Bill

Greetings one and all.

With the holidays just around the corner I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has helped make 2012 a wonderful year. The staff and crew here at SRI have been terrific. They not only do a great job but they also cover for me when I'm out of the office. (Which is most of the time). Many, many thanks to Valerie Barr, Sarysma Carreros, Bruce Charlick, Ildelis Cruz, Sarah Gowan, Chris Harris, Lisa May, Adam May, Daniel Porter, Jeff Prorok, Emma Sapsis, Garrett Sapsis, Michael Sapsis, Nic Troeger, and Billy Williams.

I also want to thank our customers and clients.  It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you. I'm looking forward to working with you all again in the coming year.

To the staff and volunteers at PLASA, in particular everyone on the RWG, The PLASA Foundation, the ETCP and Behind the Scenes I want to say thanks for putting up with me for another year.

And finally, I wouldn't be me if I didn't take a minute to remind you all that there are those less fortunate in the world and could really use our help. If you can find some time over the holiday season to make a donation or give a helping hand, that would be terrific.

Thanks again to all of you.

Have a very safe and happy holiday season.

Bill

Sapsis Rigging Opens Midwest Region Office

Sapsis Rigging, Inc. (SRI), has opened a satellite office in Bowler, WI., placing one of the company's top hoist technicians in the Midwest to serve the needs of schools, theaters, performing arts centers, arenas, special events, and other venues.
Billy Williams
Billy Williams takes the leading role in this new office. He will schedule and perform safety inspections, rigging installations, and hoist inspections and re-certifications for SRI customers.

Williams started his rigging career at SRI in 1990, and he has become one of the top hoist technicians in the United States, scoring as high as CM's own employees on the Level 2 certification exam. He also achieved the rigorous ETCP rigging certification, administered by PLASA North America

"Billy is a consummate rigging professional and a Wisconsin native, so it was a natural step to have him take on this expansion of our services," said Bill Sapsis, SRI president. "With the growth of the entertainment industry across the country and many new opportunities coming to light in the Midwest, this is a great time to make this move."

To reach the Wisconsin office, contact Williams at bwilliams@sapsis-rigging.com or call (215.292.1248).
