(Obamacare)

National registration in state health care exchanges begins next week - October 1st.

Under the new coverage rules, more emphasis is placed on wellness and preventive care. Pregnant women and those planning to become pregnant will have access to more information and services regarding pregnancy.

This matters because millions of Americans - men, women, and children -  will have access to affordable health care, regardless of pre-existing conditions

JAC was honored to participate in Vice President Biden's Sukkah Party and Reception this week. We wish everyone a joyous and peaceful New Year.
Vice President Biden's Sukkah
This week's issue highlights these key developments here and in the Middle East:
  • Israelis & Palestinians have agreed to intensify peace talks in pursuit of a final agreement.
  • Forty years after Roe v Wade and states are still trying to limit access for women.
  • Can for-profit businesses claim religious exemption for contraceptive mandate based on the owner's personal beliefs? A Federal Appeals court is weighing that.
  • Not since the 1980s has a political party seen such a division.
  • How many mass shootings have there been since Newtown? More than you have heard about.
  • Registration for Obamacare begins next week - here are 8 things you should know.
  • and so much more!
This week's EZ Read brings you these stories and some that may have slipped past your news feed.
