LIVING BY THE WILL, IN HIS WILL
by Laurie Penner, contributing writer

My last article found me in a place of seeking deeply the will of God and knowing, by experience, the importance of being where He has called me. Some time has passed since the months of struggle and inner turmoil, and I am grateful He continues to enlighten me with an even deeper understanding of walking in His will.

Scouring one of our few bookshelves in our house, I was delighted to come across a book, "Unto Full Stature" by DeVern Fromke. A year earlier, my spirit was so greatly fed as a group of women and I studied a previous book he had written titled, "The Ultimate Intention" - and I was encouraged to delve right in.

In the first few chapters of "Unto Full Stature," Mr. Fromke continues on from the tremendous insight of his first book. He describes our Father's perspective of eternity not beginning with the cross of His Son, nor the fall of mankind, nor even the creation of man; but with Himself, and His Father's love. To look out from his view point over all time and eternity, our Heavenly Father so desired the love and life of His Son to be extended and multiplied in a family, and having that family come to a full stature in Him. This divine perspective into eternity sees a pathway, which was interrupted by the fall of man; but recovered by the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. The destination of man then continues from the Tree of Life along what Fromke describes as the path of "development by Living Union." 1
