Even though we manage the world via our five senses, it doesn't mean we are limited by the physical world. We are more than physical and 'soulical.' We are also spiritual.
I have a challenge for you: Ask God for His perspective on one specific aspect of your current situation. Are you wondering about your finances? Perhaps the kids aren't flying as straight and true as you had hoped. How do you feel about yourself? Are your friendships bothering you? What are you going to do?
I find it is helpful to have a plan when a crucial conversation awaits me. I never went into a staff review and winged it. If an important talk is before Dianne (my wife) and me, I think it through first. When I have a speech to make, I prepare copiously and carefully. All of this effort is designed to prepare, guide, and position me for success, i.e. to listen well, hear accurately, and respond accordingly.
