Greetings Members!!
Dear Member,
Welcome to New Mexico Utility Contractors Association 2016!
The Board of Directors met for their Planning Session and they have set the goals for 2016 in motion. This year we will continue with our training and education programs, networking, and events as in year's past. We will focus on strengthening and expanding our committees, ensuring a return on investment for our members, being a leader in the utility contracting community, and membership recruitment.
A list of committees is below and you can find the scheduling for the meetings on our new webpage at www.nmuca.org. If you have not already, please consider taking the short and quick 10 question membership survey. It's imperative that we hear from our members so that we can offer more of what you want from your association. (details below)
The New Mexico Legislative Session starts on February 19, 2016 and I am honored to be your lobbyist and represent you. This is a short session of only 30 days, but there is a lot of work to be done and quite a few bills that we will be working on regarding Worker's Compensation, Capital Outlay (changing the process), Preemptive Local Employer Mandates, Prevailing Wages, Infrastructure Funding and other business issues. Please help me be a more effective lobbyist for you and our industry by providing feedback, responding to legislative alerts, and letting me know what's important to you! I will be sending out weekly updates so that you'll be informed along the way. Also, consider joining me at the Santa Fe Summit on February 12. (details below)
