- They Dump, You Pay

- SantaCon Hayward, December 8th

Dear Hayward,

"Is this really a democracy?" The question came up when the Hayward City Council recently discussed requiring private property owners to pay for clean-up or be fined if someone illegally dumps debris in front of or near their properties.

Would you be happy to pay a fine or pay for removal of someone else's junk illegally dumped in your neighborhood? READ MORE HERE

The Hayward City Council will discuss this issue again tonight/Tuesday November 13th at 7 p.m.

There is a problem with dumping but penalizing adjacent property owners isn't the right solution. Going after those who illegally dump must be enforced.

Living in this great democracy, we all have a responsibility to participate in discussions that affect our community. Will you let your voice be heard?
