This Thanksgiving we definitely have much for which to be thankful. As we enter this season of celebration, we rejoice that many of our kids have a new hope because of the commitment of many of our faithful supporters.

Meet Dieuma Germinal!

(a second generation HFC child)

I am 8 years old. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I grew up with my aunt.

I never knew my parents. When I was at home, I used to be hungry and I used to suffer a lot too. When I used to goof off, my aunt used to hit me a lot. She used to make me work a lot like carry the water in the bucket. I used to wash the dishes and sweep the floor.

Joseph and Solomon's stories are my favorite stories in the Bible. I like the orphanage because I can eat every day.

Above you can see a picture of Dieuma when she first came to us in the fall of 2013. The picture to the right was taken this past spring. Below is a picture of her this summer. Dieuma is small for her age but has a huge heart!
