Summer is here and many teams have already begun to go down to Haiti. Even if you aren't able to go down, there are still so many ways you can be involved. Read on to find out how!

In this issue:
  • Need to de-clutter? You may just have something in your house that could be useful to the ministry in Haiti. Check out the list of items needed.
  • Get to know Abigaëlle, who came to our orphanage in September from Cité Soleil, commonly known as one of Haiti's largest slums.
  • Find out how you can help spread the word about HFC's ministry through social media.

 Meet Abigaëlle Georges!Abigaelle
(a second generation HFC child)

My name is Abigaëlle Georges, I am 6 years old and I am from "Cité Soleil" where I was living with my mother, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

When I was at home, I used to be hungry and sometimes I went to school without taking a lunch.

I am from in a Christian family. When I was at home my mother often did not have money to go to the hospital with me when I got sick. My older sisters used to make me do a lot of work such as: moping the floor, washing the dishes, and sweeping.

I love the orphanage because when I am sleeping no evil spirits attack and people do not hit me and I do not hear guns firing.
Spread the News!
Mesi - thank you - your prayers for our ministry make a difference every day!

In Christ,

Ministry Needs
$35/month is all it takes to help cover Abigaelle's living and schooling expenses at HFC's orphanage. You could be Abigaelle's first sponsor!

Our goal for 2014 is to match each HFC child with at least three sponsors. Would you consider sponsoring Abigaelle or one of her friends?

You may have heard in the news that Chikungunya fever, a mosquito-borne disease, is affecting Caribbean nations; Haiti is no exception. Please pray for our community as there are still people suffering from the virus.

National exams began for students in grades 6, 9, and 13 in June and will be continuing through July. Please pray for focus in studying and that they would do well on the exam.

Click the "Give HOPE Today" button above if you would like to make a gift to any area of our ministry!
