 Meet Dilove Destimable!dilove
(a second generation HFC child)
Dilove Destimable

I am 6 years old, and I am from a family who practices voodoo. I have two brothers and one sister; we kept living with my father after my mother died. I am very proud to be at this orphanage because I have an opportunity to go to school and to the hospital when I get sick. I say that because before when I was at home, I never went to school and I went to the hospital rarely because my mother did not have enough money for that.

I thank HFC for all you have done for me and for the other kids who live here.

Monthly happenings
We received the following photo from our Haitian staff of the April birthday celebration for Wisnada Raymond (black dress) and Olivier Cadet (orange shirt), who turned 7 and 5, respectively. It looks like their friends were happy to help them with their cake! Argentine Guillaume, an HFC post-secondary student studying in Cuba, also celebrated her birthday in April, turning 24.

April 2014 HFC bday party

Three HFC children (Rose Kerlande, Frantz Moise, and Manlove) and one young adult (Stephanie) celebrated their birthdays in May. With so many people in our community, it can be challenging to recognize these milestones for each child, but our Haitian staff does a wonderful job of making each person feel valued and celebrated! Thank you also to the sponsors who have sent cards and small gifts to your children to let them know you're thinking about them!

  Ministry Needs
$35/month is all it takes to help cover Dilove's living and schooling expenses at HFC's orphanage. You could be Dilove's first sponsor!

Our goal for 2014 is to match each HFC child with at least three sponsors. Would you consider sponsoring Dilove or one of his friends?

You may have heard in the news that Chikungunya fever, a mosquito-borne disease, is affecting Caribbean nations; Haiti is no exception. Please pray for several of our kids and staff who are currently fighting this fever.

Please pray for our students as they have entered their final quarter of the school year. Students in grades 6, 9, and 13 will be taking National Exams in June and July.

Click the "Give HOPE Today" button above if you would like to make a gift to any area of our ministry!
