| Current Needs in Haiti |
We currently have mission teams going down in April and the summer months.
The following items are in need in Haiti and either expensive or hard to get in-country:
-A digital camera
-Laptop computers
-Toys for Children Ages 3-8
Preference for education toys that are durable and don't have a lot of little pieces to be lost. We would like to avoid toys that need batteries for operation. Also toys that can be used in cooperative play is good (used by more than one kid at a time). They also need to be transportable in a suitcase and preference for toys that can be cleaned easily.
Some ideas of items we are looking for:
- Large duplos
- Little People
- Magneatos
- Frontier or Linkin' Logs
- Xylophone or musical instruments
- Wood tool kit
- Play food
- Nesting blocks
- Thistle Blocks
- Pattern blocks
- Car/train tracks
-Items for girls attending cosmetology school. i.e. blow dryers, makeup (both light and dark skin powder, eye liners, mascara etc)

Praise Report |
One of our HFC children, Chrystel, had surgery this past January. After suffering ongoing urinary tract infections, last fall a combination of visiting doctors and in-country doctors determined that surgery was necessary. During surgery, they realized that her kidney was badly damaged and needed to be removed to avoid her medical condition from worsening. Having surgery in Haiti is daunting and involves a high level risk of infection. We are pleased to report that after having the surgery she is recovering and returning to good health. |

Current Needs |
We are still collecting laptops for the computer classes in the Marion Austin School. With the heavy use and difficult environment in Haiti (dust, electrical currents) we try to do our best to make them last as long as possible but we are always collecting more to replace damaged laptops. Please contact Tara Kasey with potential donations. |
