Dear EWS Community,   By now many of you have inevitably learned that earlier today two Houston synagogues received bomb threats for May 2. Emery/Weiner has not received any such threats.   Nevertheless, we are taking the threats seriously. In addition to our normal security precautions, we are planning to enhance and extend the presence of law enforcement personnel on campus.    Anyone entering campus without the EWS sticker in their windshield will be stopped and will have to sign in, even during carpool hours tomorrow morning and afternoon. We know this could cause traffic back-ups during carpool, but please bear with us and plan accordingly.   In any case, please note that we will be open on Thursday, May 2 during our normal hours.   Sincerely, Stuart J.
