During this holiday season - when we have celebrations of light to offset the winter darkness - we would like to thank you for your past support and respectively ask for your help once again. Annual Giving is a necessary part of our fund-raising because tuition covers only 80% of our actual costs. Your gift will help us continue to attract the finest teachers & staff, offer dynamic programming (including experiential education), and thus provide the "Emery Difference" to 465 students.
It only takes a moment to make your gift online today, in time for those end of the year tax-deductions! Families who give $1,500 or more will be invited to the Head of School Reception* in the spring.
Our sincere appreciation to those who have already given this year. Thank you for your generosity & best wishes for a Happy Hanukkah!
*Please note, the giving level to attend the HOS Reception has changed from last year.

Jewish Federation 2013 Collage
On Tuesday, January 29, the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston welcomes Mayim Bialik -- perhaps better known as the 1990s sitcom teen queen "Blossom" -- to speak to women from across the community at its annual Collage luncheon. Women's Philanthropy makes up about 25 percent of the overall Jewish Federation Annual Campaign and a large portion of those funds come from Collage participation. Did you know that last year's Campaign raised $7.9 million to support hundreds of Jewish agencies in Houston, Israel and around the world, including The Emery/Weiner School, which received $202,500 in 2012?
Collage guests will enjoy shmooze time, a delicious kosher lunch and a rousing presentation by Bialik, a sharp and witty Jewish actress who has gone on to earn a PhD in Neuroscience, author a parenting book, and raise two children. Luncheon tickets are $55, plus a minimum suggested Campaign gift of $236. Visit houstonjewish.org to register, or contact Emily Dennis for more information at 713-729-7000 x 313.
