Helping Seniors Help Local Farmers

Gov. Cuomo announced recently that $1.5 million in farmers' market checks are being distributed again across the state. The coupons provide an incentive for eligible individuals to include locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet and support local farmers, according to Corinda Crossdale, Director of the New York State Office for the Aging.
